What is an UtherAcademy Educator?
An UA Educator is someone who has been approved by UtherAcademy and Utherverse Digital to share information and teach approved courses within the UtherAcademy 3D venue and website. There are 3 levels of Educators in UtherAcademy: Tutor, Instructor, and Professor
TUTOR:
A Tutor is an Educator who has fulfilled certain In World requirements including length of VIP membership, clean World Ops history, understanding of RoC and ToS of Utherverse, and referrals by either Staff or reputable members. Real World experience is also a factor. A Tutor may not advertise credentials unless they have been verified by UtherAcademy. Tutors must offer a minimum of 1 class in a 3 month period.
INSTRUCTOR:
An Instructor is an Educator who has fulfilled certain Real World requirements including providing either Educational or Job placement credentials, as well as In World requirements including length of VIP membership clean World Ops history, understanding of RoC and ToS of Utherverse, and referrals by either Staff or reputable members. Instructors must ID verify with World Ops, and a valid copy of credentials must be submitted for verification. An Instructor may only wear an Instructor badge if they are only providing courses in the field they have been verified in. Instructors must offer a minimum of 1 class in a 3 month period
PROFESSOR:
A Professor is an Educator who has an Educational Degree of Masters or higher in the field they are teaching within UtherAcademy. They must ID verify with World Ops, and a valid copy of credentials must be submitted for verification. A Professor may only wear a Professor badge if they are only providing courses in the field they have been verified in. An understanding of Utherverse RoC and ToS is also mandatory. Professors must offer a minimum of 1 class in a 3 month period.
All Educators are responsible for transferring their expertise in these areas on to members of the Utherverse community through scheduled classes or seminars, as well as 1 to 1 tutorials, and for reviewing and assessing the competencies of their students to evaluate that they are able to then put their learned skills into practice. Educators are responsible for one or many of the following tasks:
1. To prepare and deliver a suitable curriculum and class schedule for their specialist subject area, including providing learning objectives and an agreed assessment methodology for evaluating that these objectives are met.
2. To facilitate and lead group classes in the specialist subject area, using multiple teaching tools including VoIP, video playback and text based discussion to support the transfer of their knowledge to others.
3. To provide 1 to 1 tutorials in the specialist subject area, using the teaching aids specified.
4. To provide guidance notes on additional self-directed learning for students outside of scheduled classroom instruction or tutorials.
5. To respond to student enquiries via the Utherverse social center as they arise.
6. To maintain their expertise in the specialist subject area and update the content of their curriculum accordingly.
7. To engage with promotional and preview events for new students.
8. To attend Educator and faculty meetings with the Academy Manager and Utherverse representatives as requested, and to ensure that notes from any missed meetings are reviewed and acted upon accordingly.
9. To keep themselves up to date with academy and faculty activities, news and developments through the dedicated Faculty website.
10. To be a representative of Utherverse Digital Inc whilst using their designated Educator account, and to maintain a high standard of behavior, both in their designated and personal accounts, appropriate for a position of this type.
While all Educators are independent of Utherverse and UtherAcademy, the role of an Educator within UtherAcademy is pivotal to the overall success of the organization and its objectives.

What is the principal of being a UA Educator?
Educators within UtherAcademy are independent parties, and the course, class or seminar, it's content, the intellectual property, and the delivery of it, all belong to you, as the person who has developed it. You will determine, with our support, the length of the course, the time and date of the classes, the assessment methodology and the fee structure. UtherAcademy will provide you with assistance in promotion of your courses, the teaching venue within the Academy, and website support.

How To Become a Subject Area Educator?
All potential Educators must apply through the Academy, where the application is reviewed and a A full Utherverse background check will be performed, and upon a clean check you will be required to provide appropriate credentials (official certification or work place references) and will undergo an interview process with one of the Utherverse staff. Questions may be forwarded regarding your application for clarification. It is best that when submitting your application that you consider all aspects of what you are offering, from class sizes, tuition fees, deadlines for admissions, course outlines, classroom needs, etc. Should you be interested in obtaining an Educator role, it is wise to ensure you ID upload along with your application to save time. It is important to note that instructors do not "work for" UtherAcademy, but do represent Utherverse and UtherAcademy and as such are held responsible for professional and respectful conduct. |
